I went to Paredes only once, not sure if it was 2005. Amazing year: Nick Cave, Pixies, Arcade Fire, Foo Fighters,Queen Of The Stone Age, Woven Hand (1st year after the disband of 16 Horsepower), and more. Really amazing line up.
The place is very nice but I was there just for the shows and back to Spain every night. Had a room in a little hostal in Tuy near Vigo, just in the border and was about 15-20 minutes by car to the festival every day at 4 or 5 PM.
Just one thing, Chac, ne buvez pas de l´eau de le fontaines, toujours de le bouteille. Je suis malade a la fin du festival et je doit rester un jour in chambre a l´hostal. En espagnol ça c´appele Gastroenteritis.

Hey, Txomin ! Thank you very much for the tips and tricks for Paredes !! Very helpful ! I need to be very cautious with the agua de fuente then !! And wow indeed, what a line-up back in 2005 !! As for the Pixies and Arcade Fire, I’ll sure have my own back this early july as I’m right down in the starting-blocks again for the BBK ! Along with New-Order, Blood Red Shoes, Slaves, Soulwax, Tame Impala, Foals, Hot Chip, etc … it’s gonna be a great year too !! Maybe I’ll come across you this time ?!

I´m more Azkena (Vitoria) than BBK (Bilbao). The only festival ticket in my pocket right now is Sonorama (mostly indie Spanish bands) and still not sure if on Friday I will go to Azkena to see Lucinda Williams.
