I can´t store the original captures, I record some hours of video every day. But using MPEG Streamclip you can mux or demux the files without reencoding and the file that you will have will be exactly as my original. Just go to MPEG Streamclip select “Open Fie” and when asked if you want to open the content as a DVD say NO, then when asked if open only one or all the VOB files press on “ALL” and “voilá” there you have the original files, no reencoding is involved in the process. At this point you can demux to separate the audio and video files, generate a .TS file,… etc.
